Most Georgia workers who are injured during the summer, or at any time of year, are eligible for workers’ compensation. Part-time workers, including seasonal and temporary workers, are entitled to receive workers’ compensation benefits just like full-time employees.
A study by the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety, published in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine in 2006, found that compared with morning shifts, workers with afternoon shifts had a 15.2% increased risk of injury, while those on night shifts had a 27.9% greater risk.
Although they are often touted as a panacea, it is important to keep in mind that the success of spinal cord stimulators varies. Recent studies have noted that the incidence of complications from spinal cord stimulators varies from 30% to 40% of patients.
Approximately half of all ladder related accidents are due to workers carrying items as they climb. The most common type of injuries that results from a ladder related fall are fractures.
